Referral Information

At Pine Grove, we listen to your needs and work quickly to make a decision. We evaluate each referral based on appropriateness and our ability to provide quality care. If we cannot meet your needs, we will try to provide sources that may be able to help.

Our group homes offer behavioral programming and special education for ages 6-20. We also offer educational day (day) services. The program is licensed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services and operates 365 days a year. Pine Grove accepts in-state and out-of-state referrals. We have served families throughout the Southeast, mid-Atlantic, and New England to include Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

We are a school-based program and only accept children who test with an IQ of 69 or lower.

Initial referrals can be verbal or written. Official referrals must include a Children’s Services Universal Application, and historical and evaluative information (including a social history, psychological information, and medical and educational history.)
